Urgent Call - Action Required

I was meditating in the book of Joel and I learned that the people were going through terrible times. There is something that was done and I would like to apply straight away.

In Joel Chapter 2:15,16,17 says:

"Blow the trumpet in Zion,
Consecrate a fast,
Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people,
Sanctify the congregation,
Assemble the elders,
Gather the children and nursing babes;
Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,
And the bride from her dressing room.
17 Let the priests, who minister to the Lord,
Weep between the porch and the altar;
Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord,
And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
That the nations should rule over them.
Why should they say among the peoples,
‘Where is their God?" Joel 2:15-17 NKJV

Let me number some of the things God tell us to do:

1 - Consecrate a fast. = This Wednesday from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday Midday.
2 - Call a sacred assembly and gather the people = Wednesday 7pm everyone should be in church.
3 - Weep between the porch and the altar = At the service you go before the altar and do it.

No one should be able to ask Where is our God? The difference must be visible in our lives. Specially those who sacrificed in the last one and previous Campaigns of Israel the answer has to come as we go to a new month let us not stop fighting.

As I result of this we want to see the promises in Joel 2:24 onwards being fulfilled:

1 - Prosperity
2 - Restoration
3 - Never be put to shame
4 - Outpouring of the Holy Spirit most importantly.

Warning! Don't let this happen to you

Whenever we go through a great battle we always have the days following that event and sometimes those are
the most dangerous period.

There are people who give up during the battle for they have not achieved what they wanted but there are those that in-spite of achieving what they want they still give up. Let us read the case of Elijah.

"Now Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and [a]how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and even more, if I do not make your [b]life as the [c]life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” And he [d]was afraid and arose and ran for his [e]life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a [f]juniper tree; and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take my [g]life, for I am not better than my fathers.” 1 Kings 19:1-4

After an amazing victory against the four hundred and fifty prophets of ball Elijah then decides he had enough and no longer wanted to live any more.

How come after such a great victory he got scared of the words of Jezebel and decided to quit his ministry.

The same has been happening with many people who conquered many victories in church and gave amazing testimonies but did not keep the faith to go until the end.

I never forget what it says in Hebrews 11:13 "These all died in faith, not having received the promises...

What about us? How are we going to die?

Are you going to die in faith or is your faith dying?

What have you been thinking?

Someone said: "All battles are first won or lost in the mind"
And in proverbs 23:7 it says as he thinks in his heart so is he.
How have you been thinking?

Plow Work

Plow Work

Dr. Roy L. Laurin tells of a Christian businessman who was traveling in Korea.
In a field by the side of the road was a young man pulling a crude plow while an old man held the handles. The businessman was amused and took a snapshot of the scene. "That is curious! I suppose these people are very poor," he said to the missionary who was interpreter and guide to the party. "Yes," was the quiet reply, "these two men happen to be Christians. When their church was being built, they were so eager to give something toward it, but they had no money. So they decided to sell their one and only ox and give the proceeds to the church. This spring they are pulling the plow themselves." The businessman was silent for some moments.

Then he said, "That must have been a real sacrifice." "They did not call it that," said the missionary. "They thought themselves fortunate that they had an ox to sell!"

When the businessman reached home, he took the picture to his pastor and told him about it. Then he added, "I want to double my giving to the church and do some plow work. Up until now I have never given God anything that involved real sacrifice."

What about you?

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

We have nothing to lose

"If you try to keep your life you will lose it"
Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed when he found out his brother was coming to meet him with four hundred men, he knew he was about to lose his life and everything he had, so before he lost it he made them cross over the brook and was alone ready to face his brother.

I look at it as he had nothing to lose anymore and was now ready to face anything.

Then the Angel appeared to him.

Jesus said: "Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.
Lk 17:33 NIV

It is one thing for someone to take something from you and it is another thing for you to give it. One way or another we will lose it.

We can chose to feel the pain of sacrifice and voluntarily give or we can try to keep it and end up losing everything.

Jesus said also:
No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded."     John 10:18 NLT

Meditate and act on it.

God Bless you.

" This is another thing you do"

"...This is another thing you do: you cover the Lord’s altar with tears, with weeping and groaning, because He no longer respects your offerings or receives them gladly from your hands." Malachi 2.13
This has been the life of the majority of people who consider themselves of God, Christians: crying, tears, weeping, etc., accompanied by religious offerings and void of spiritual content, as if God would be influenced by emotions and feelings, or by those empty offerings.
The life of those who sacrifice on the altar is determined there, because it was built for this reason.
It is all or nothing, the point of contact between a person and the Creator. This is where you stop being who you are to be what God wants you to be.
There are times to grieve, cry, weep, moan, but that can be done in the atrium, in church, at home... But the ALTAR IS TO MAKE DECISIONS!
Jacob was blessed financially, and consequently, he established a large family, because he had made a vow to be a tither, and when a vow is sincere, accompanied by faithfulness, God fulfills His part, because He is Faithful and True.
But in order for his identity to change, the Promise be fulfilled in full, it was necessary to sacrifice. He had to completely surrender: materially, physically and spiritually; come before God alone, stripped of everything.
Your time has come!
The Altar is prepared, like the hand of God is extended to you.

The conversion of the wallet

It’s said that, Martin Luther, the man who began the Protestant movement, stressed these three types of conversions: conversion of the head, conversion of the heart, and conversion of the wallet. I agree with him. But I would sum up all of this by saying that only one conversion is real: the wallet’s conversion. Let me explain.

In truth, this conclusion is taken from the words of God himself. When He asked the people of Israel, through the prophet Malachi, to convert to Him, God’s goal was their wallet.
“Return to me and I will return to you,” God said. Then the people asked, “How do we return to you Lord?”
God didn’t say, “Repent,” or “Abandon your sins” or “Treat each other well.” What he said was, “Stop robbing me. Bring your tithes and offerings to my house and your situation will begin to change for the better.” Of course, I’m obviously paraphrasing.
The only and truest conversion is that of the wallet because that’s where selfishness and human materialism takes over.
Money is the god of this world. When Jesus said that it’s impossible to serve two masters, the other master He mentioned was money. From so many gods in this world, He simply mentioned money!
When conversion reaches your wallet, you’re truly converted because money brings together reason and emotion. That is, you surrendered the two to God. Reason and mathematical logic says that the more money you gather, the more you will have. Emotion says the more money you have, the more security you’ll feel, the more good things of the earth you’ll be able to buy.
Giving your money to God through tithes and offerings contradicts logic and feelings. In other words, something bigger is required to believe that even if you give what you have, you will end up with even more. Your account will increase as well as your feelings in regards to yourself, which will then result in a better and more prosperous life. That “something bigger” is called faith in God, which exceeds reason and feelings. That’s why your wallet’s conversion is the truest one.
When a person’s wallet converts, it’s because the person finally decided who’s their god, where is their treasure.
The anger provoked in some of those reading this simply confirms my argument.

The people's Rebekah

Why are there so many failed believers, pastors and evangelical leaders who hate us?
“Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to be a deceiver to him; and I shall bring a curse on myself and not a blessing.” But his mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get them for me.” (Genesis 27:12,13)
Although the final decision to deceive his father was Jacob’s, we see here the great influence his mother had on him at that time.
Not only did Rebekah allow but she also commanded Jacob to deceive his father—and even worse, she assumed responsibility for his actions.
She told Jacob to bring her two young goats, while Isaac had sent Esau to hunt.
Isaac told Esau to make him savoury food, while Rebekah made it for Jacob.
She also told Jacob to pretend he was someone else. But what’s the point of trying to deceive God if He searches our hearts?
Rebekah taught Jacob to “conquer” the “easy” way, without true sacrifice, and what were the consequences?
For many years, Jacob conquered many blessings, but at the same time he felt unhappy and was deceived, while his mother—who wanted so much to see him “blessed”—spent the rest of her life far from her beloved son.
Well, it was Rebekah herself who said, “Let your curse be on me.”
I don’t want to ever be like Rebekah to the people, teaching them to present an offering instead of sacrificing.
I don’t want to ever have this curse upon me.
I “leave” this curse for the religious people who teach that sacrifice is not necessary, and very soon they’ll see their “Jacobs” leaving them for good, because they will be looking for a Ford of Jabbok to make their perfect sacrifice and become Israel.
May God bless you.

The Pain

We all may have heard the phrase No Pain no Gain yet how many people want to have a new life but don't want to go through the necessary pain to achieve the new life they want.

After man had sinned God said to the woman "In pain you will give birth" and the same pain God had to go through sacrificing His only begotten Son in other to give birth to many more children.

In other for Jacob to become a new man he had to feel the pain of being alone, letting go of his family and possessions he also felt the physical pain when the Angel touched his hip but in spite of the pain he kept fighting .

Are you feeling the pain of the sacrifice?

Remember No Pain No Gain.
