How to have a strong foundation !

How to have a strong foundation

We all know that our foundation should be strong but the question is, how can you build a strong foundation?

Let's meditate on the passage bellow:

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV)

Jesus said the two things needed to have a strong foundation:
  1. Hear his word
  2. Practice it
Where do you hear his word?

Will you hear it at home, no, that is why it is important that you come to His house.

But is not enough for you to come and hear, most importantly you need to practice it, do it.

When you do it, you will see amazing things happening in your life and your foundation will be strong.

Enough said, why not get started right now by practicing what you already know from God's word.

Post your comments with your experiences.

Thanks

God Bless you

How is the foundation of your life?

How is the foundation of your life?

Lets meditate on this passage from Daniel chapter 2.31:

31 “You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome.32 This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs[c] of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.[d]34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

The image seen in the king's dream is a great lesson for us, let us see what is wrong:

  1. Head of fine gold
  2. Chest and arms of silver
  3. Belly and Thighs of bronze
  4. Legs of Iron
  5. Feet of iron and clay
We can see that the feet was of iron and clay, when the stone struck the image on its feet, it fell and broke to pieces.

What profit was it to have the head of gold if the feet was of clay?

How does it apply to our life's.

If your foundation is strong then nothing will ever knock you down.

Maybe you conquered so many blessings in your life but if your spiritual life that is the foundation of the faith is weak then you will fall but if it is strong than you will remain firm no matter what you face.

A few things that knocks people down:

Death of a loved one.
Not seeing the results of your prayer or receiving it and becoming relaxed.
To busy.
Doubts and Fears.
Disagreements with people in the church.
The pastor said something you did not like.
Time.
Sin.
Discouragement.
etc...

Maybe you are down right now, have left God and his church because of these or other reasons but the truth is the foundation of your faith was weak, that is why the stones that was thrown at you knocked you down.

What should you do?

This Sunday at the UCKG we will have the rescue Sunday, so you have a opportunity to return to God and get your foundation to be strong.

Tomorrow I will tell you what you need to do to have a strong foundation.

Please leave your comments or requests.

Thanks

God Bless you.

Promises concerning the Holy Spirit - Day 5

Today's Promises

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
John 15:26

Jesus Promises Another Helper - How to receive? 4th Day

Jesus Promises Another Helper

15 “If you love Me, keep[d] My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
John 14:15-17 NKJV

Who in these world has never needed help?

Since we were children we always needed help from our parents and others.

The Holy Spirit is the Helper who Jesus has sent from heaven to be with us forever.

He wants to dwell within you today.

Let me show through the passage bellow:

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

There are so much to talk about but let me highlight a few steps:

  1. Approach the Altar with boldness because of the sacrifice made
  2. Draw near with a true heart - Be sincere with God
  3. Full assurance of faith - Don't doubt
  4. Have a clean heart and conscience, otherwise when seeking the Holy Spirit the devil will accuse you.
  5. Hold fast to the promise for he is faithful.
  6. Do not stop coming to the services to seek the Holy Spirit.

Apply these and other steps and I am sure the Holy Spirit will come upon you, even now there where you are you can receive it.

God Bless you.

Today's Promise about the Holy Spirit

Today's Promise:

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which, He said, you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. (Acts 1:4, 5 NKJV)

God Bless you

What if the UCKG never existed?

What if the UCKG never existed?

This month we are celebrating the 35 years anniversary of the UCKG.

What if it never existed?

I would be dead, I am not exaggerating, my best friend and my brother died after they left the UCKG and went back to the world.

What about you, leave your comments saying what if the UCKG never existed...?

Promises related to the baptism with Holy Spirit - 2nd

Today's Promises:

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread[d]from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”  Luke 11:9 NKJV

Jesus says the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.

He did not say He will judge and see if you deserve.

He will not check your past first to see if you should have.

He will give, it is a promise.

All you have to do is to ask.

When do people ask for something?  When they believe they can receive.

Believe you can and ask today with all your heart and you will receive.

Lets us read bellow a comment Sibon Posted yesterday about her experience on receiving the Holy Spirit. Post yours so I can include in tomorrow's promise as it will certainly help others.

The promise you shared is the exact promise I held on to when seeking the baptism with the Holy Spirit. I remember I would remind God about it during my prayers and I also believed that it would come pass in my life and it did. I had to stop being anxious, stop thinking I was unworthy and when I least expected it I recieved because I was constantly thinking about the Holy Spirit and emptied myself of all the filth that was inside of my heart and mind.

Promises concerning the Holy Spirit - 1st

Promises Concerning the Baptism with the Holy Spirit

The bible has over 8,000 promises and many of them are concerning the coming of the Holy Spirit.

As we prepare ourselves to receive the promises from the Altar this Sunday, I would like to write a different promise until Sunday for you:

Today's promise:
28 “And it shall come to pass afterwards that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions;
29 and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit.
Joel 2:28,29. NKJV

Which days was God talking about?

I believe He was talking about today, nowadays, so believe in these promise with all your heart and seek the Holy Spirit because now is the time for you to receive him.

How was your experience receiving the Holy Spirit share your comments about it, so it can encourage others also share any promises you have related to the topic.

Thanks

God Bless you,
Pr Jonathan Pine

So simple yet so difficult

So simple yet so difficult.

Read Acts 8:14-17
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that amaria had received the Word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John,
15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost.
16 (For as yet, He had fallen upon none of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus).
17 Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
We see how simple it was for people to receive the Holy Spirit.
What has happened today?
Has God changed?
No, He does not change, the promise is still the same.
This Sunday I will lay hands on people with this faith, for you who wants to receive the Holy Spirit @ 9:30am in the UCKG Nottingham and anywhere in the world you can ask your pastor to lay hands on you based on this promise.
Are you going to be there?
Leave your comments telling us at which UCKG you will be receiving the promises.

Between faith and emotion

Between Faith and Emotion

Between Faith and Emotion

When he heard
The inquiry of his son
Father, where’s the lamb?
His heart began to bleed
When he heard
Abraham’s reply
The Lord will provide
His heart began to fear

And side by side in silence they cried
As they came closer to the place of sacrifice
A request that smashes through the heart
Choosing between your faith and your emotion
When you have the choice of saying no, but faith says to obey
When you have to stand and face your fight, but the heart cowards away
It’s not easy being Abraham by surrendering your son
Being Isaac and lie down on the altar who you are.

Abraham Laughed

We know that Sarah laughed when God spoke to her, but what many people don't know is that Abraham also laughed lets read bellow:

15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. 16 And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.”

17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!
19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.
Genesis 17:15-19 NKJV

How many people are laughing inside of them, saying how can I achieve what you want.
We also see that Abraham said "Oh that Ishmael might live before the You!"
God firmly reply No, but Sarah will bear you a son, Isaac.

When a person has been through a lot in life, without seen her dreams coming true, the tendency is that they will settle for less and give up on achieving what they wanted first place.

Abraham had a son, so he thought maybe this could be the one, if God wanted him to.

It is once again the story of bad, good or excellent. Many when they are in a good position they stop fighting for more.
Maybe you have gone from bad to good.
From childless to Ishmael.
Your family member is no longer in drugs but still not with God.
You used to be very sick but now if feel better but not healed.
You used to be single but now you are married but not happily.
You used to be unemployed but now you have a job but you are not rich.
You used to be suicidal but now you want to live but still don't have the new birth etc...
NO, NO, NO.

Just like God said to Abraham he says to us, Ishmael (Good) is not enough, I want to give you Isaac (Excellent) and multiply your descendants.

In other words there has to be a difference, I don't want someone to say
Abraham has a child but Sarah is still barren, there was no difference, he still did not have his son with his wife, No. God wanted to make a difference, that is why He spoke to Abraham and today He is speaking to you.

Abraham believed and obeyed what God told him to do.

What about you? Are you going to settle for less?

This Sunday 8th of July at 9:30 am in the UCKG this difference will be made in the life of those who are not happy in having just what is good but want to be excellent and are willing to sacrifice their lives for it to happen.

Thanks for your time.

God Bless You

Where are you at?

BAD - GOOD - EXCELLENT

We had the Power of Prayer Tour in Nottingham UCKG and Bishop Junior was talking about how Abraham's Father he left his hometown to go to Canaan but he stopped in Haram and never reached where he was going to and died as a loser for not finishing his journey  Genesis 11:31

Why?

In life that we have 3 kinds of situation people can be in:

BAD =  Immigration problems, unemployed, loneliness, depressed, suicidal, broken marriage or single etc...
GOOD= No Immigration Problems, employed, married etc...

EXCELLENT=  Successful in all things, very happy, blessed in all areas.

Most people are either bad or good, just a few are excellent  we see that Abraham was blessed in all areas of his life the same God wants to do for you.

Change the way you think and you will change your life.

Good is not enough God wants you to have an excellent life.

May God Bless you.
