What is the Fast of Daniel?

The Fast of Daniel is based on the fast described in the Daniel chapter 10, in the Bible. During 21 days, Daniel decided to fast in order to find favor, wisdom, and understanding from God.

Now-a-days, among the list of things which get in the way of our relationship with God, distractions are more than present–and they come in all forms of entertainment and secular information which bombard us constantly. The Lord Jesus would say “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:9) The purpose of the Fast of Daniel is exactly this: to open our ears to the voice of God.
So you can receive the Holy Spirit in your life. The bible says : “Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” Romans 8:9

How does it work?
From Monday December 28th we will abstain ourselves from any type of entertainment and secular information until January 17th.

Examples:
Facebook, newspapers, cinema, TV programs, radio shows, gossip, movies, internet etc…

What should you do during the 21 days?
Use the time to connect with God, through prayers and reading your bible and to get closer to your family.
Come to church more often and seek the Holy Spirit everyday.

What sites can I access?

During the fast you can visit:

Universalusa.org for church messages

Does happiness exist?

Have you ever seen someone chasing the wind? Imagine a bunch of cockroaches running around in circles!
That’s right. This is the direction in which mankind is heading.
Everyone is frantically searching and putting all of their strength into finding true happiness.
The strong trample over the weak in order to take possession of this happiness faster.
The poor majority, allow themselves to be carried away by the winds of ‘luck’. They say, “Who knows, maybe one day my life will change?” They go through life, living from one hopeful dream to the next.
The sick seek happiness in their physical healing. For them, being healthy is the most important thing in their life.
Others believe that happiness lies in their professional achievements. For them, money is the foundation of their happiness.
And for those who are lonely or feel frustrated with their love life, their happiness lies in finding their other half. So, they get involved with various love affairs as if they were a lottery game. They try their luck at love because they want to be happy.
But they have all, without any exceptions, gotten lost during their search. The more they move around in their search, the more they sink into the quicksand of this world. They even reach the point of questioning whether true happiness actually existences, just like atheists do when they begin questioning God’s existence.
If happiness does exist, where is it and how do you achieve it?
“Who can answer that?”, ask all those who are unhappy…
In order to achieve happiness, you must first take possession of life. The dead don’t have the right to happiness. If someone is spiritually dead and lives in sin, how will they ever achieve true happiness? That’s impossible.
First, they must be resurrected. And for that, you must seek the Author of life.
The Lord Jesus said:
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” John 11:25.
You must believe with all of your body, soul and spirit.
After this unconditional surrender, you will receive life and the right to the happiness you’ve always dreamed of.
Those who are humble enough to surrender to Him and fear Him, inherit riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4
This means that you will find happiness on earth.
The 21 days of the Fast of Daniel is a great opportunity for those who are literally feeling miserable. Beginning this Monday – 12/28/15 – those who want, will reserve the next 21 days to separate themselves from all secular information, such as TV, radio, internet, magazines, newspapers, sports, entertainment, that is, a fast of everything audiovisual.
We will be cleaning up our hearts and minds from all the useless baggage this world has to offer. We will only be receiving information that pertains to the Word of God – the Holy Bible.
Therefore, during this fast, God’s Spirit will be poured out according to His promise in Joel 2:13-19.
May God, through the Holy Spirit, open up the understanding of all those who believe.

Don't allow this to happen to you!

Throughout the years we have seen many whom have lost the faith and fell along the way.
And that bring a great fear to our heart and always make me more careful with how I conduct myself.
One of the main reason many have fallen is their love life, women or man.
In the verses bellow it shows us the importance of watching and not allowing ourselves to fall in temptation:

"With her enticing speech she caused him to yield,
With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter,
Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,[a]
23 Till an arrow struck his liver.
As a bird hastens to the snare,
He did not know it would cost his life." Proverbs 7:21

When temptation comes and the person is about to yield they don't know that it will cost their lives, it seems so pleasant and look so good, don't be deceived because it will drag you down to hell.

"Her house is the way to hell,[b]
Descending to the chambers of death." Proverbs 7:27

Don't be fouled by the devil because "Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul." Proverbs 6:32

So you may ask what do I do when being tempted?

"Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;" Proverbs 7:25

In short, run from evil, walk away. Talk to someone who can help you, stay away from the temptation, that person in church after you or at work, maybe in your own house, stay away from unnecessary conversations, do something, otherwise it will cost you your life.

May God deliver us from all evil.

Share this message with someone, it will help them to avoid the fall.
