Who Wants?

"...but you shall seek the place where the Lord your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place and there you shall go. There you shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks." Deuteronomy 12.5, 6

One is a place of sacrifice, and the other is the sacrifice.

Mount Calvary was the place God chose for the Purest Sacrifice: Jesus.

The patriarchs would build an altar of stones and make their offerings of sacrifice;

Moses built a portable tabernacle so that the children of Israel could give their offerings of sacrifice;

Solomon built the Temple so that the children of Israel could make their sacrificial offerings.

Sacrifices were not to be done anywhere the people pleased, but they were to seek the place where the LORD chose...

Israel has not offered sacrifices to the Lord because they do not have a Temple. Since then, Jews eagerly await the reconstruction of the Place of Sacrifice, so that they may return to this practice.

"Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice," 2 Chronicles 7.12

As long as the Jews do not have a Temple, they cannot sacrifice, and without sacrifice there is no communion with God.

Why is there a need for sacrifice?

The Altar represents the Throne of the Almighty, and the sacrificial offering on the altar represents God's people.

Therefore, it is on the Altar that the communion between the Holy Trinity and His children takes place.

Jesus said: "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself (sacrifice), and take up his cross (sacrifice) and follow Me (sacrifice)," Matthew 16.24

Whoever wants to be saved must be the sacrifice, himself, and always be on the Altar.

Why does it work for some and not for others?

I was reading a message in Bishop Macedo's blog http://www.bispomacedo.com.br/2013/03/12/estava-pensando-nisso/ (click the link in portuguese) and I was thinking, we all hear the same word, have the same Holy Spirit, the same bible etc... 

Why some succeed and others don't ?

Why some are blessed and others are not?

Let us look at the case bellow:

But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”

When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ "

But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Luke 8:42-46 NKJV

Everybody was touching Jesus, but the bible does not say all of them were being healed, but the woman was healed just by touching his garment, not touch him.

What was different about her?

The indignation or revolt against the situation that was inside of her heart.

She was ready for life or death, all or nothing, the law said a woman who was bleeding was considered unclean and she could not touch a man, but her revolt led her to go ahead in faith and that made her see the results that she wanted.

We can pray, fast, teach and try to awake a revolt in your heart against your situation by showing what God has promised but we cannot be revolted against your situation for you.

Do your part for God has already done His.

 However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:19-22 NKJV)

After being stoned and almost dying we see Paul strengthening the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith.

THE TRUTH

Many people have been living in lie.

Definition of lie:

1.

a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood,
to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive. 

Are you one of them?  Let us see:

Have you been told that there is no hope for you.

That your  problems are your karma, cross, punishment or simply the will of God and you have to accept it, that is the way it is, it is life.

That you cannot be healed, happy and achieve the life you always wanted to have.

Here is the Truth:
You have been deceived and told a lie.

You can have the life you always wanted and dreamed of.

But first you must change the way you think and revolt against the problems you are facing.

Jesus said:

"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" John 8:32

God has promised to give you a better life come and join us this Sunday as we will be claiming what is rightfully ours.
