The Fruit of The Holy Spirit 

Joy:  We are not talking about the joy of this world produced by the human mind, jokes, drunkenness and the like. It last for a moment and when it passes it often leaves sadness and unbearable pain.

The joy of God is a permanent state of grace before the Lord and constant satisfaction from deep within our heart and last forever. No one can take it away from us-no pain or suffering.


I remember how I used to drink and go clubbing in other to have joy but when the party was over and I would put my head on the pillow, the sadness would fill my heart again and I would start crying.
Until the day I found the Holy Spirit and He brought  true joy to my heart , in a way that I don't need a drink or a party to be happy but now I have constant joy in my heart,  even when things goes wrong, we still keep going.

The Holy Spirit can give you the same joy, seek him wholeheartedly and he will come.

The Fruit of The Holy Spirit

Love : I would define it as giving without expect anything in return.

Before a person can love they need to know where love comes from. 

God is love.  For us to understand the real meaning of love is it essential that we know God. 


"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"(John 3:16)

When you have the Holy Spirit, you have love and this love is what has lead many of us, pastors and wife's to leave everything to go around the world to lead people to salvation through the Lord Jesus.

If you say you love God, you should love others as well,  for how can you love God whom you don't see and despise those whom you see.

I believe that many people have not yet received the Holy Spirit for failing to apply the greatest commandment that is: 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind... You shall love your neighbour as yourself'
Matthew 22.37,39

 The Fruit of the Holy Spirit

There are nine qualities, but one fruit, is interesting that Paul see them all as one, in other to make it clear they do not exist individually.  "For example, no one can show love without joy, for they are inseparable.
If a person shows joy, for example, but does not show love in his life, his joy is not a fruit of the Spirit, it may be produced by external circumstances, but it is therefore a false joy."

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is:

1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Longsuffering
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self-Control

If you have the Holy Spirit you cannot have one and not have the other, either you have or you don't.

The Holy Spirit Book Challenge - Day 6

'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit

 and in truth' John 4.24

I remember when i had my experience with the Holy Spirit. It was all new to me. I was talking to God, confessing my sins, telling Him how small i felt for the mistakes i had made in my life, and suddenly something began to change inside of me, i did not even know but I had been baptised with the Holy Spirit. When i spoke to an assistant about what had happened, he then told me i had been baptised with the Holy Spirit.

Today, we see people so worried about what they will feel, how it will happen and if they don't feel anything or cry when seeking the Holy Spirit, they think that God is not with them etc...

Remember we must worship Him in Spirit, that means with our mind, in a intelligent way, not with the feelings of the heart or emotions but with a clear understanding. Even when you don't feel anything it does not means He is not with you. He promised so He is there right now all you have to do is to believe and don't worry how it will happen or what you will feel, just believe and receive the Holy Spirit in your life.

There is nothing that He cannot bring into existence, do or change, but above all He is present every where and He knows everything.

There is no point in pretending or trying to hide, only be sincere and the Holy Spirit will come upon you there, where you are right now.
