I invite you who joined this Fast of Daniel (or want to join) to take the utmost advantage of these next 21 days and grow in every sense. 

Everyday starting today, I will be posting five tasks of the day focusing on five areas of your life: spiritual, health, relationships, finances and personal growth.

What’s the point of this purpose? 

Just as fasting from food is not only about not eating, the Fast of Daniel is also not only about being excluded from secular information or media. The Fast of Daniel requires abstinence but also attitudes that’ll help you reach your goals. 

The goal behind the Fast of Daniel is to strengthen your life in a general way, and prepare you to begin with all your strength. 

How can I use this table of tasks? 

Not everything listed below will probably apply to you. For example, today’s finance task refers to your debts. But if you don’t have any debts, you may substitute it, do something that pertains to your financial situation. 

If possible, I suggest that you print out this table of tasks and carry it with you throughout the day, in order not to forget and also to mark what tasks you completed.

Spiritual	Begin your day by speaking to God for at least 5 minutes
Health	Exercise for 30 minutes (stretching, walking, etc)
Relationships	Get in touch with a family member or friend that you haven’t spoken to in a while
Finances	Make an updated list of all your debts

God's complaint

Hear, O you mountains, the Lord ’s complaint, And you strong foundations of the earth; For the Lord has a complaint against His people, And He will contend with Israel. “O My people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me. (Micah 6:2, 3 NKJV)

There are many people who leave God and complain about the church, pastors, God and everything but God is asking you: What has He done against you? Testify? 

Don't be foolish.

When we came broken, suffering and no one wanted us He sent His son who died for us and received us in his presence so don't be a fool now that your life is better and walk away from Him because of stupid little things or do you have a strong reason that is more important than your salvation that justify you walking away from God if you have, testify He says.

This Sunday we are crying out for justice but the biggest injustice is what many people are doing with God after all He has done for them.

Don't be one of those, keep your faith and if you already lost it get it back before it is too late.

They snored too much

We recently slept on the church’s altar for several days, and I confess that there were nights I could not sleep. Why? Because there were 2 or 3 pastors who would not stop snoring—but I promise I will not reveal who they were. 

I had already had enough of that noise and was amazed at how my wife was able to sleep without complaining. It was then that she told me she was using earplugs; she slept like a baby because she could not hear anything.

“Wonderful idea,” I thought, and decided to do the same. It worked wonders for me!

What does this have to do with our spiritual lives? It’s simple. The Lord Jesus said:

“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.” (Matthew 18:8,9)

Ok, we “cut” our hand and foot off and “pluck” our eye out if they make us sin, but what do we do with our ear if it is filled with negative words coming from every side?

What do we do when the devil tries to speak to us through a family member, friends, etc., saying negative words to separate us from God?

Easy. Put on your “spiritual earplugs” and completely ignore those demonic noises. Then you will sleep peacefully, not just for one night, but for all eternity.

And do not forget to remove earwax in order to hear God’s voice. “If you are willing and obedient,
 you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel,
 you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 1:19,20).
