Abraham Laughed

We know that Sarah laughed when God spoke to her, but what many people don't know is that Abraham also laughed lets read bellow:

15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. 16 And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.”

17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!
19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.
Genesis 17:15-19 NKJV

How many people are laughing inside of them, saying how can I achieve what you want.
We also see that Abraham said "Oh that Ishmael might live before the You!"
God firmly reply No, but Sarah will bear you a son, Isaac.

When a person has been through a lot in life, without seen her dreams coming true, the tendency is that they will settle for less and give up on achieving what they wanted first place.

Abraham had a son, so he thought maybe this could be the one, if God wanted him to.

It is once again the story of bad, good or excellent. Many when they are in a good position they stop fighting for more.
Maybe you have gone from bad to good.
From childless to Ishmael.
Your family member is no longer in drugs but still not with God.
You used to be very sick but now if feel better but not healed.
You used to be single but now you are married but not happily.
You used to be unemployed but now you have a job but you are not rich.
You used to be suicidal but now you want to live but still don't have the new birth etc...
NO, NO, NO.

Just like God said to Abraham he says to us, Ishmael (Good) is not enough, I want to give you Isaac (Excellent) and multiply your descendants.

In other words there has to be a difference, I don't want someone to say
Abraham has a child but Sarah is still barren, there was no difference, he still did not have his son with his wife, No. God wanted to make a difference, that is why He spoke to Abraham and today He is speaking to you.

Abraham believed and obeyed what God told him to do.

What about you? Are you going to settle for less?

This Sunday 8th of July at 9:30 am in the UCKG this difference will be made in the life of those who are not happy in having just what is good but want to be excellent and are willing to sacrifice their lives for it to happen.

Thanks for your time.

God Bless You
